The fast-travel system in Crimson Desert feels restrictive, even hours into the experience, requiring you to discover Abyss Nexuses and Abyss Cressets to teleport around the massive continent of Pywel.
However, as soon as Damiane joins Kliff during an early story quest, there’s a way to exploit the game’s multi-character mechanics and the Summon + Gather system, letting you use characters as mobile waypoints.

Can You Fast Travel With a Bounty Anywhere?
While this fast travel trick can be used to teleport anywhere even without using fast travel points, it cannot be used to fast travel while carrying a bounty. When you try to switch characters while carrying one of these wanted individuals, the option is simply unavailable.
However, you can still make your bounty hunting less time-consuming by carrying two wanted individuals at a time. Simply load one on your horse by holding L1/LB and Square/X near your horse, then carry the other yourself.
The Fast Travel Trick
Crimson Desert has a unique approach to multi-character gameplay. The game tracks the location of every playable character independently, and when you switch to another, you are immediately teleported to wherever that character currently is. This mechanic makes this secret trick possible
How to Execute the Fast Travel Trick
- Switch to the other character with the Character and Mounts Wheel Menu whenever you want to return back to your previous location. Once back, switch to the character you want to control.
For this trick to work best, however, you will have to act fast.
Why You Must Act Fast
This trick works best for quick journeys, such as returning to towns for quick shopping trips or donating items to improve the Greymanes Camp. It is not, in any way, a permanent way to cheat the fast-travel system for one reason: your characters are independent.
When you are not actively controlling a character, they will eventually begin to move on their own, following their own routines. If you keep these trips short, you can use this trick to reliably return to the general area you were exploring, even if a proper fast-travel point is not available nearby.
NOTE: Over the course of my current playthrough, I have found this fast-travel trick really useful when attempting to liberate areas occupied by enemy factions. As you have to contend with huge numbers of enemies, I would simply continue to fight until I depleted all my healing items, then use the trick to head back to town, restock, and return to the occupied area to resume the fight.
