Lords of the Fallen (2023) Headlines the April 2026 PS Plus Essential Games Ahead of the Sequel’s Release Later in 2026

Last week, a report from the ever-reliable Billbil-kun at Dealabs claimed that the PS Plus Essential games for April 2026 would be headlined by Lords of the Fallen (2023). Unsurprisingly, Billbil-kun was, as they have been several times before, exactly right, proven by today’s official reveal that CI Games’ 2023 reboot will indeed headline this month’s titles ahead of Lords of the Fallen 2 releasing later this year.

Alongside the Soulslike action RPG is a collection of three games rolled into one, with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered as one of the three titles available to all PS Plus subscribers, rounded out by Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream as the third title for this month (which, coincidentally, was also leaked by Billbil-kun).

All three titles will be available to PS Plus subscribers beginning next Tuesday, April 7, and you’ll be able to add them to your library until Monday, May 4, 2026. That also means that the March 2026 batch of games, which includes PGA Tour 2K25, Monster Hunter Rise, The Elder Scrolls Online and Slime Rancher 2, will be up for grabs for just a few more days before this new batch of games replaces them on Tuesday.

As we stated last week when Billbil-kun’s report initially pointed to Lords of the Fallen (2023) headlining this month’s batch of games, there is arguably no better time to jump into the 2023 reboot. Not only is it devoid of the issues it launched with thanks to CI Games putting in two years worth of updates to get to a massive overhaul with a 2.0 version, but the upcoming sequel, Lords of the Fallen 2, is reportedly set to arrive sometime this summer, specifically sometime in August 2026.
